Making an impact in EYFS: A science subject leaders’ guide to developing good practice

Full CalendarHerts & Essex SLP

This event will take place between 9:30am and 4:00pm on 16/05/2022

Herts & Essex Science Learning Partnership

A good understanding of how children learn science in the Early Years Foundation Stage is imperative for a primary science subject leader.  Engaging with the new EYFS framework will help develop understanding of the way teachers work in EYFS and exploration of the non-statutory guidance will further build a picture of the ways young children learn.  You will consider what good teaching and learning looks like in ‘Understanding the World’ and develop a clear progression map into Key Stage 1 that will help build strong foundations for science across the school. You will return to school with a wealth of ideas to share with EYFS colleagues, ensuring that children, in this important phase, start off with the very best learning experiences.

Venue: University of Hertfordshire, De Havilland Campus, Mosquito Way, Hatfield AL10 9EU
