Saffron Teaching School Hub Courses  

KS2 French — Summer Term 2022

This event will take place between 4:00pm and 6:00pm.

Lower KS2 takes place on Mondays.

Course delivered by the Saffron Teaching School Hub.

The Saffron Teaching School Hub is working in partnership with Rachel Hawkes, Co-director of NCELP to deliver DfE approved KS2 French CPD course in the summer term 2022.

KS2 French will be delivered online by our French Tutor Katherine Monument throughout the spring and summer terms; both courses are aimed at subject specialist KS2 primary teachers.

What does the course offer?

  • French language development combined with step-by-step knowledge of KS2 lesson content and how to teach it.
  • Free 4 year scheme of work with full lesson resources (including native audio) available for all teachers to use.

Course Outline

The course is aligned with KS2 Programme of Study, the Ofsted Framework and the Early Careers Framework. The course is available at the following two levels:

  • Lower KS2 - Year 3 and Year 4
  • Upper KS2 - Year 5 and Year 6

KS2 Spanish — Summer Term 2022

This event will take place between 4:00pm and 6:00pm.

Lower KS2 Spanish takes place on Wednesdays.

Course delivered by the Saffron Teaching School Hub.

The Saffron Teaching School Hub is working in partnership with Rachel Hawkes, Co-director of NCELP to deliver DfE approved KS2 Spanish CPD course in the summer term 2022.

KS2 Spanish will be delivered online over 12 sessions by our Spanish Tutor Paula Vázquez-Valero throughout the spring and summer term; both courses are aimed at subject specialist KS2 primary teachers.

Peer Review Training for Leads and Improvement Champions - Date TBC

What does the course offer?

Peer Review training enables schools to strengthen their own self evaluation in order to identify an appropriate focus for peer review.  This is based on using pupil outcomes and current data to highlight areas in need of improvement.

 

Course Outline

Participant schools will be formed into triads or quads to implement a year-long follow-up programme of peer review in each school. Improvement champions will also be enabled to provide follow-up support and challenge based on review outcomes

The Chartered College Certificate in Evidence-Informed Practice (CCoT1) Various Dates

Interested in developing your expertise in using evidence to inform your practice?

Course delivered by The Chartered College of Teaching

What does the course offer?

The Certificate in Evidence-Informed Practice is perfect for teachers and leaders wishing to develop their understanding of evidence-informed practice and gain recognition for their expertise.

Successful completion awards participants with a certificate in evidence-informed practice and credits towards Chartered Status.

Course Outline

During this 3 month online programme you will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of evidence-informed practice. During the programme you’ll learn about and discuss:

• evidence-based pedagogies

• engaging with evidence

• educational myths and misinterpretations

• key debates in education

The programme ends with an innovative assessment that will enable you to demonstrate your knowledge and expertise in evidence-informed practice. Upon successful completion of this, you will be awarded The Chartered College Certificate in Evidence-Informed Practice and will also receive credits towards Chartered Status

The Chelmsford Schools Partnership was established in March 2013 when Newlands Spring Primary School became a National Teaching School. We currently have a partnership of 49 primary, 5 secondary and 1 special schools based in and around Chelmsford in Essex. Epping Forest Schools Partnership Trust Teaching and Learning School (EFSPT) CPD Courses

EFSPT is a Multi-Academy Trust of 17 schools: 12 primary schools, 3 infant schools, 1 junior school and 1 special school. Our schools vary in size from a three form entry primary school to a single form entry infant school. Our special school, Oak View, is an all age (3-19), specialist provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs. This includes those with severe and complex needs and pupils within the autistic spectrum.

  • If you wish to cancel a course, please email Lorraine Chedzoy (lchedzoy@swchs.net) 5 working days before the course start date.
  • If you cancel your place less than 5 working days before the course start date or are a ‘no shows’ on the day of the course you will be charged the full price.
  • If there are extenuating circumstances for cancellations or ‘no-shows’, the Saffron Teaching School Hub will exercise discretion regarding payment.
