Essex Primary SCITT

Essex Primary SCITT is a well-regarded established teacher-training provider with a long record of training excellent primary and early years’ teachers. Our schools and settings work in partnership with us to train, support and guide our trainees to become the very best teachers that they can be.

Covering age ranges from 0 to 11, our Primary SCITT and Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) programmes give trainees the opportunity to learn in a highly supportive, nurturing environment, offering a realistic balance between theory and practice, as they experience the excitement and challenges of becoming a teacher.

We are very proud to have been graded as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted for our Primary Programme (November 2017) and as ‘Good’ for Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) Programme (June 2018).

“Trainees receive excellent support, advice and guidance over the course of their training which equips them with the skills and knowledge to become successful, skilful and reflective teachers.” (Primary Ofsted, November 2017).

“Trainees are highly successful. They contribute effectively to the education of babies and children.” (Early Years Ofsted, June 2018).
