Greater Essex Music Hub
Greater Essex Music Hub is a partnership of organisations which support and provide access to high quality music making for young people across Essex. We are funded by the Department of Education; our grant is administered by Arts Council England to create more opportunities for children and young people to get involved in music.
Our Vision
- Our provision is inclusive with no barriers to engagement, promoting equity of access to all.
- All young people aged 0-21 experience high quality music.
- Educational settings in Essex provide a high-quality music education which includes progression, transition between phases and effective collaboration.
- Young people can access a set of broad, rich and diverse opportunities in order to progress through their musical journey.
- Music education in Essex is integrated into the wider cultural education provision through collaboration and partnership.
Our Mission
- Greater Essex Music Hub aims to provide high-quality, diverse, sustainable music education opportunities for all children and young people.
- We strive to ensure that opportunities are available regardless of a child/young person’s background or circumstances and that those reaping the benefits represent the varied demographic of the county we serve.
- Our provision will cover a broad range of genres, be inclusive, progressive and challenging while being enjoyable.
- Ensure music education fosters lifelong skills and a passion for music within children and young people, as well as contributing to raised ambitions and standards in other educational areas while developing expressive and inter-personal skills.
