Thinking about becoming a teacher? Face-to-face sessions - 19th & 26th May 1:30pm

Join us for one of our informal face-to-face sessions being held at two of our local primary partnership schools, where you'll find one of our recruitment leads happy to answer all your questions.

We have two of these sessions in May:

  • 19th May at 12.00pm at Abbots Green Academy
  • 26th May at 1.30pm at Trumpington Park Primary School

CTSN SCITT at the DfE 'Train to Teach Norwich' virtual event - 14th June 5:00-7:00pm

Join us at the one of the DfE’s virtual Train to Teach events, where you will be able to:

  • Put your questions to expert advisers, teachers and training providers are available to answer your specific questions
  • Chat online with current teachers and find out what a day in the life of a teacher is really like
  • Get one-to-one advice from our teaching experts on your application, including advice on your personal statement and interview tips
  • Connect with teacher training providers, such as CTSN SCITT and find out more about the courses we offer
  • Watch presentations to see a step-by-step guide on how to get into teaching, the application process and funding your training

School Experience Day - 24th May at Saffron Walden County High School 

The teaching profession can seem a complex one so our school experience days offers you the chance to find out about the roles and responsibilities of a teacher and to help you answer many of questions you may have about the profession as a whole. Gaining some school experience will:

  • Strengthen your teacher training application
  • Give you observational experience prior to interview
  • Help you decide if teaching is right for you

Our next scheduled secondary school experience day is Tuesday 24th May at Saffron Walden County High School, Audley End Rd, Saffron Walden, Essex CB11 4UH.

Drop-in Train to Teach event - 25th May 4:00pm at Thomas Gainsborough School

Interested in a teaching career, but still have questions?

Join us at our next drop-in Train to Teach event. One of our recruitment leads will be at Thomas Gainsborough School on 25th May between 4-6pm and will be happy to answer all your questions.

Mid Essex ITT

Mid Essex ITT is an outstanding provider, founded in 1994, training some 60 secondary school teachers every year across more than 20 schools in Essex.

Event details: Virtual open event for the PGCE at the University of Cambridge

Date & time: Tuesday 24th May, 5:00-6:10pm

Applicants will be able to hear from subject tutors at the university and get some of their questions answered.

Teaching School Hub 'Train to Teach' events

Saffron Teaching School Hub runs an annual online Train to Teach event, in collaboration with the Chafford Hundred Teaching School Hub and the Alpha Teaching School Hub.
