However, the DfE is currently offering time-limited school-to-school recovery support to schools and trusts, provided by an experienced system leader. This support can help schools to overcome the challenges faced or exacerbated as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

DfE School Improvement Offer 2019-20
The Department for Education's 2019-2020 School Improvement Offer is now closed and the future school improvement offer is under review.
From the summer term 2020, schools that become eligible for support (new or another ‘Requires Improvement’ (RI) judgement) will access support brokered by the Saffron Teaching School Hub. Schools already in receipt of support will continue to liaise with the Teaching School Council (TSC).
Please read the DfE guidance below for more information about the available support.
Eligibility is based on Ofsted inspection outcomes. Eligible schools are:
- Tier 1: schools with a single 'Requires Improvement' judgement
- Tier 2: schools with two consecutive single 'Requires Improvement' judgements
- Schools that are newly opened and receive a single 'Requires Improvement' judgement on their first inspection (where they have no previous published Ofsted rating) will also be in tier 2
- Tier 3: schools that currently have a single 'Requires Improvement' judgement and have not been rated above single 'Requires Improvement' since 2005, across a minimum of 4 inspections
The Department for Education will contact schools and trusts once the inspection report has been published.
