REACHout Early Years Stronger Practice Hub - East of England
The Early Years Stronger Practice Hubs programme was launched in November 2022 and is part of the DfE's Early Years Education COVID-19 Recovery Package. The REACHout East of England Stronger Practice Hub, based in Halstead, Essex is holding a launch event in Chelmsford on 22 November 2023. The programme aims to support settings to address the impact of the pandemic on young children by sharing effective practice and building lasting local networks.

What is the role of the REACHout East of England Stronger Practice Hub?
Our Stronger Practice Hub, based at The Barn Nursery School in Halstead, Essex, has just launched and is supporting all Early Years settings (including childminders, PVIs, school-based nurseries) to improve outcomes for all children across the EYFS.
The REACHout Stronger Practice Hub focuses on areas of development that research has informed us have been most impacted by COVID-19.
How will the Stronger Practice Hub support settings?
Our REACH out Stronger Practice Hub will support settings by:
- Establishing local networks of settings to share evidence-based professional development for early years practitioners.
- Proactively sharing information and advice on evidence-based approaches.
- Share regular newsletters, blogs and updates on social media.
- Acting as a point of contact for bespoke advice and signposting to other funded support.
- Working with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) to select evidence-based programmes to find and make available to settings and childminders.
- Provide free CPD opportunities linked to the needs of settings.
