Welcome to our new NPQ Specialist Cohort

We were delighted to welcome our new cohort of specialist NPQ programme members to Harlow Study Centre on 29 February 2024. Colleagues from schools and settings across the region came together for their introductory conference, including our first cohort for the new NPQ Leading Primary Mathematics.

This introduction was a great opportunity to:

  • Share the underlying principles of the Teach First NPQ Programmes
  • Meet our team of expert facilitators
  • Network with other cohort members
  • Ask Saffron TSH questions about the programme

We also took the opportunity to share participants' hopes for their NPQ, and what they wanted to achieve as a result of their study. Their reflections were both poignant and inspirational in equal measure!

We have seen from previous cohorts how these bonds with fellow programme members have flourished, with WhatsApp groups sharing ideas and colleagues visiting each others' schools and asking for feedback on their development planning. We hope this cohort has the same opportunities to work with like-minded colleagues.

We have also been impressed by the number of teachers and leaders who have shared case studies with us on how they have used their NPQ learning to support their role and other colleagues in their schools and how many have secured new leadership positions since undertaking the NPQ.

It was also lovely to see those who have previously completed their NPQ returning to facilitate NPQs for us - we thank our facilitators for their commitment and kindness.

We wish this cohort of specialist programme members well and are looking forward to working with them!
