NPQ Funding from September 2024

On 21 March, the DfE released NPQ funding information for new participants starting in Autumn 2024.

From September, there will be scholarship funding for all teachers from publicly funded schools and 16-19 educational organisations in the following NPQs:

For all other NPQs, scholarship funding to cover the full NPQ course cost will be available to:

The 50% of schools with the highest proportion of students who attract pupil premium funding
16-19 educational settings identified as having high disadvantage
Early Years settings that meet the highly disadvantaged criteria (this is relevant for the Early Years Leadership NPQ only)

In addition, funding is also available for:

The Early Headship Coaching Offer, if you are in the first 5 years of headship; those heads will also need to be doing, or have done, the Headship NPQ
The Leading Teacher Development NPQ, to those who are, or will be, taking on the role of lead mentor for an accredited ITT provider

Schools will be able to check eligibility for funding for Autumn 2024 when registration opens later this year.
