Teaching Internship Programme

A teaching internship gives you the opportunity to spend three weeks in a school and find out what teaching is really like. You’ll experience being in a classroom, gain new skills, and be paid £300 per week.

Teaching internships take place during June and July. Places fill up quickly.

Teaching internships are only available for certain subjects. To take part, you’ll need to be studying for a degree related to the subject you want to teach.

Benfleet Team Supporting All (BTSA)

BTSA is delighted to be able to offer Maths, Physics, MFL and Computing undergraduates the opportunity to participate in a three-week paid internship based at a school in Essex during June/July 2023.

As part of a government drive to attract undergraduates in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) and languages, the BTSA has received funding to support a 3-week paid internship programme to provide undergraduates with the opportunity to experience school life and the classroom environment. The internship programme aims to help undergraduates decide if teaching is for them and to support them in making a future ITT (initial teacher training) application.
