Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

The 'Class of 2026' trainees with our Lead Partners CTSN SCITT, Mid Essex ITT and West Essex SCITT have been awarded QTS and have enjoyed some well-deserved celebrations. Congratulations from Saffron Teaching School Hub and good luck to all as they embark on their new roles as fully qualified teachers!

CTSN SCITT

CTSN SCITT is proud to celebrate the success of our Early Years, Primary and Secondary trainee teachers across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex, who have achieved Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). This achievement reflects the commitment, hard work and professionalism of our trainees throughout their training year. Our trainees have successfully demonstrated their progress against the CTSN Curriculum Pillars and the Teachers’ Standards, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to make a positive impact in schools across the region. Alongside celebrating this year's successes, we have been pleased to welcome our new September 2026 cohort at our induction days. It has been wonderful to meet those beginning their teaching journey and to introduce them to the CTSN SCITT community. We look forward to supporting our new trainees as they embark on the exciting path towards Qualified Teacher Status and a rewarding career in education. Congratulations to all our newly qualified teachers, and a warm welcome to those joining us in September.

Mid Essex ITT

Congratulations to the Mid Essex ITT cohort of 2025-2026 who were awarded QTS on 25 June 2026 following their final Core Training session of the year. It was a day of reflection, emotion and celebration as they prepare to embark on their ECT years. The cohort heard from a former trainee who spoke about what they could expect in their new teaching roles. The session was followed by a relaxed picnic and a trip to Colchester Zoo including a workshop on planning school trips. Mid Essex ITT is one of the oldest SCITTs in the country. For September 2026, they are welcoming up to 60 new trainee teachers to the programme.

West Essex SCITT

We offer our warmest congratulations to the West Essex SCITT trainees who graduated on 16 July 2026. A wonderful celebration was held at 'That Amazing Place' in Harlow to recognise their hard work, dedication, and successful attainment of QTS, with some also completing a PGCE alongside their Initial Teacher Training studies. Throughout the year, the 2025/26 cohort has demonstrated exceptional resilience, creativity and professionalism, developing into highly capable and inspiring educators. We are immensely proud of their achievements and wish our new ECTs the best of luck as they begin their teaching careers.
