Support for the Essex Disadvantaged Strategy

This article gives an update on that included in a previous newsletter in which we outlined the ways in which the Saffron Teaching School Hub is engaging with and supporting the Essex Disadvantaged Strategy.
Support for the Essex Disadvantaged Strategy
Saffron Teaching School Hub is engaging with and supporting the Essex Disadvantaged Strategy through:
- A regional partnership with the Education Endowment foundation (EEF), Research School Network (RSN) and partner TS Hubs to provide evidence based CPD programmes across the region.
- The launch of our Evidence Leads in Education team and their regularly updated Blog.
- The launch of the Evidence Led Practice area of our website, including our regular Spotlight on research.
- Professional development opportunities from the Hub's strategic partners across Braintree, Chelmsford, Epping Forest, Harlow and Uttlesford.
The first cohort of schools is currently participating in the EEF/RSN/TSH Partnership programmes focusing on Metacognition and Self- Regulation, and Evidence Informed Curriculum Development.
Booking for further opportunities to engage with these two programmes in the Spring term are currently being taken, alongside a new Improving Literacy in KS4 programme.
